Rheinmetall Mission Master SP Autonomous Unmanned Ground Vehicle: successful demonstration in Sweden; seven Mission Masters ordered by the UK

In April 2022, Rheinmetall’s Mission Master SP ‘used laser-guided FZ275 rockets from Thales in a live-fire exercise‘ in a demonstration attended by delegations from Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, and Poland. In the same month, the United Kingdom ordered seven Mission Masters from Rheinmetall.

The Mission Master SP is an Autonomous Unmanned Ground Vehicle (A-UGV) which ‘can follow troops as a buddy, letting soldiers get closer to the enemy without being seen or heard’ and carries ‘light payloads, such as section sensors and weapon systems.’
