Guinea Bissau is a state party to the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons (CCW) and has participated in some CCW meetings on autonomous weapons systems.
Guinea Bissau is a member of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the African Union, both of which support the negotiation of a legally binding instrument on autonomous weapons systems. Guinea Bissau has not spoken independently on the need for a legally binding instrument.
